With Chef’s (Delicatessen Manager and Jack’s Meat Market Manager) background, he could work most anywhere, but we are fortunate to have his talents now for more than 12 years combined. Chef’s resume includes working at Caesar’s Palace, Hard Rock Café, a specialty position with a prominent Fiji hotel, Carver Brewing Company, and Seasons of Durango. He’s filled a variety of roles at Nature’s Oasis including Executive Chef, Department Manager, Store Manager On Duty, Produce, and working at River Liquors.
Chef is a Hall of Fame Member with Cooking Matters (Durango nonprofit organization) teaching kitchen/food skills to families and child educators. His most prevalent talents include listening and responding to people’s needs, be it professional or personal.
When not creating in the kitchen and managing Jack’s and the Deli, Chef’s hobbies are fishing, hunting, Southwest archaeology, camping, and shaking it up at Bluegrass shows. He can also make quite the convincing duck quack and rattlesnake sounds; lots of fun when hiking in the desert.
Chef was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, graduated from Community College of Southern Nevada Culinary School, and moved to Durango in 1997. He truly has immersed himself in the community and surrounding areas with a focus on establishing Southwest Colorado as a leading culinary area in the state.
